Just because you don't regularly workout, do enough kettle ball and/or abs exercises, or you literally have the worst luck when it comes to any sort of athletic skills, you can still play a relatively mean game, and by mean game, I mean an amusing game of intramurals.
Who said a little self-love coupled with some team spirit ever hurt anyone? No one, so why are you so worried to don the new tee shirt from your local Kickball Intramural's group and join?
More often than not, we end up talking ourselves out of joining an intramurals sports league and in doing so, exclude ourselves from the many benefits it provides. Who wouldn't want to be a part of an exclusive group of laid back, successful, and interesting group of peers that regularly meets for drinks and casual games? Most likely some of your closest friends will come from joining a league and guess what? They don't care how well you play or don't play, they care about how much fun you are to socialize with. Why worry about "looking bad" and embarrassing yourself or letting down your team with your horrible lack of skills. An intramurals team has a certain vibe that screams "we don't care how bad you look or play, we just want to have fun both before, during and after all games." It's really that simple. So get your confidence up and get ready to meet lots of great people, who you no doubt will have a blast with laughing at yourselves during games and getting to know one another after all games while at the sponsors.
Your parents and/or close girlfriends are more than happy to watch the kiddos while you tend to some much needed self love, aka socializing. And we all know self love comes first, if you want to be the best Mommy you can be, after all, who wants a downer of a Mom who's often unhappy? Need more information about strong Mommies, look no further than Fit4Moms many available classes here. Your close girlfriends and/or family members might even want to watch all the exciting antics of you and your teammates by joining as spectators. I have no doubt all those uber athletic teams, including team USA women's soccer, would, at the very least, be interested, if not jealous of you and your exclusively awesome kickball team while you rip it on the field and socialize together after at the sponsor.
No excuses, as these leagues are non competitive and even the world's worst teams have a blast and the potential to win the finals tournament with two brackets (winning and losing). All winning teams get the lovely reward of more socializing and a sponsor bar party!
